For those who have been dying to get on the maiden voyage of the Disney Dream,
Disney Cruises’ new cruise boat of dreams, the wait might have just been shortened
by a couple of weeks! Disney Cruise Line has recently announced that they are
changing the maiden voyage date of the Disney Dream from April 7, 2012 to March
31 of the same year.
The reasons for this are due to the fact that Disney Cruises will be obtaining
ownership of the Disney Dream earlier than previously expected. At the moment
there is a freeze on purchasing tickets for the new maiden voyage, as Disney is
giving customers who bought passage on the original maiden voyage the chance
to switch their tickets over to the new voyage, should they desire to be on the first
launching of the ship. The ticket switchover will come at no cost to those who had
already purchased tickets for the April 7 embarkation.
However, as it is expected that not all customers of the April 7 cruise will be able
to switch over their tickets, this presents an exciting opportunity for those who
would like to travel on the maiden voyage of the Disney Dream but missed the
initial booking. Disney has said that it will announce when the leftover Disney
Dream maiden voyage tickets are available for general purchase. Until the original
customers have been satisfied, sales of both the April 7 and the March 31 bookings
have been suspended.
