If you’re planning on visiting the Magic Kingdom in March 2011 or later, get ready for some great news – the Mouse is holding open the doors a little bit longer for you.
As of March, the hours of operation for the Magic Kingdom will be from 8am until 1am for all guests. This means that if you are one of the lucky ones who will be staying in the park overnight, you’ll get Extra Hours until 3am. This means much
more time to enjoy in the park with your family during the day, and even more time at night to come with your spouse or friends and see the Magic of Disney come alive at nightfall.
There will also be additional performances of the Main Street Electrical Parade in order to compensate for the extra hours that the Magic Kingdom will be open.
The main reason for offering extra hours in Walt Disney World’s most popular park is to compensate for the increased flow that the park is expecting now that the winter is ending and the spring crowds are picking up in mass and volume. So if you are one of the expected many who are coming to visit Walt Disney World in March or later, you’ll get a longer window of opportunity to hang out with Mickey, but you might have to fight against an even larger crowd in order to do so effectively!
Enjoy the extra hours that the Mouse has offered, and don’t forget to take advantage of those late night visits to the most magical place on earth.
