Say hello to Miss American Pie – with the help of Disney! The weekend of April 9 through 10th will see the American Pie Festival being celebrated in the aptly named Celebration, Florida – right next to the gates of Walt Disney World. This will be the place to be when it comes to all things pie, and Crisco hosts the festival itself.
If you like pie, this is surely the Holy Grail of festivals. Get ready for such delights as the Never-Ending Pie Buffet, which also comes with ice cream and plenty of toppings, so no matter how outlandish you like your pie, anything is possible at the American Pie Festival.
Of course, there’s another part to enjoying pies other than just the eating – there’s the baking, as well. The Crisco Kids Station will be set up so kids can get dirty and make their own pies. There will also be lots of pie-themed family friendly activities going on as well – though, admittedly, most of them will end with the eating of pie. But if you like pie, that’s never a bad thing!
If you’d like to attend the festival, the pie festivities will be taking place from 11am until 7pm on April 9th, and then again from 12pm to 5pm on the 10th. Admission to the Pie Festival itself is entirely free, but if you’d like to get in on the Never-Ending Pie Buffet, the cost will be ten dollars for adults and children over the age of 12, and five dollars for children under twelve and adults over the age of sixty five.
