Those who are looking to head to Disney’s parks past June 12 will find a somewhat disappointing surprise at the gate ticket booth or even on the online retailers – the prices of tickets have gone up yet again.
Granted, the price of a Walt Disney World ticket hasn’t gone up by a ridiculously large amount – the day Magic Your Way passes are now going for eighty-five dollars, rather than eighty-three. This represents a jump of roughly 3.7 percent. Those who are looking to buy the large package deals will feel the heat a little more – a five day pass to Disney will now cost the intrepid visitor 251 dollars, rather than 237. This jump is slightly larger at 8.1 percent.
The price of tickets has steadily been on the rise for the past few years, and Disney maintains that the prices that it maintains are a fair balance between value for the customer and profit for the park. After all, Walt Disney World is quite a bit production, and a lot of money is needed to keep the park as magical as it is.
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it thrills the mass of park goers that they have to pay more money to get into the parks. But the prices are what they are, and all it means is that you’ll have to sharpen your skills while on the hunt for cheap tickets all the more! There are still deals out there to be had, so don’t stop looking.
