Independence Day is one of the holidays that Walt Disney world celebrates in style, and 2011 is looking to be no different. If you are looking to visit the Most Magical Place On Earth during Independence weekend, get ready for some serious excitement, as Walt Disney World has just released its calendar of events celebrating America’s birthday.
As the Magic Kingdom is host to fireworks every day of the year, you might think that seeing explosions in the sky during the fourth might not be any different than any other day at Disney. Here, though, you would be wrong – the geniuses at Disney make sure to pull out all of the stops for the fireworks that occur to celebrate Independence Day. The show itself is called “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” and promises to be red, white, and blue the entire way through. If you’d like to see what Disney’s Hollywood Studios has to offer on the 4th, try the “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration!” Starring Mulch, Sweat ‘n Shears, a musical performance that recreates a journey through America. Epcot features “The Heartbeat of Freedom,” which is a laser show with patriotic themes.
While July Fourth is a celebration that goes over with gusto all across the country, there is definitely something to be said about spending America’s birthday with Disney. It’s one of the most festive places on earth! Enjoy your Independence Day wherever you are; however, if you happen to be at Walt Disney World it will certainly be an experience that you will never forget!
