It’s that time of year, again – the time where the parks are hot and crowded with guests looking to have a good time at Walt Disney World. While having other revelers around is definitely part of the experience, the fact of the matter is that so many other people around combined with the long wait for rides and the hot weather can cause many individuals to hide out in their air-conditioned Walt Disney Resort rooms. If you’d like to beat the heat and see attractions, here’s some tips.
The first tip is to try and stick to the attractions that have air conditioned or at least partially shaded wait lines. For example, It’s A Small World has a semi climate-controlled line and also offers 11 minutes worth of air-conditioned riding bliss. Compare this to rides like Peter Pan’s Flight, where the lines are out in the blazing sun and the ride times are short, and you’ll appreciate the intelligence of choosing rides for their comfort level.
It’s also advisable to take a break during the hottest part of the day. This is where having something like a Park Hopper pass is useful, because you can easily spend the morning at one of the parks, retreat back to your hotel room for the lunch period, and then try another park when the sun backs off a little bit. Also, don’t forget about the many water parks at Walt Disney World! There’s no better way to beat the heat than by spending it splashing in a pool.
