Just this week, Disney finally unveiled the medal that will be giving to all of the finishers of the 2012 Disney Half Marathon. This year, which happens to be the fifteenth anniversary of the Half Marathon, the medal will be shaped in the likeness of Donald Duck.
The 2012 Disney Half Marathon will take place the weekend of January 5th through the 8th. The overall weekend includes a full marathon, a half marathon, a marathon relay, a 5K, and all sorts of running events for kids. Right now, the registration for the full Disney Marathon is at 68 percent full, while the half marathon is at 58 percent. If you are looking to participate in any of the Disney Marathons, now would be a good time to get to the website and make the necessary reservations! In general, about 54,000 individuals from around the world come to participate in the events that happen on the weekend of the marathon.
