If you happen to be visiting Walt Disney World during the summer months, you will likely notice two things: the first being that the weather is very, very hot, and the second being that there are a lot of people milling about due to the fact that summer is the height of tourist season. What this basically equates to is a lot of long lines. And since the weather is hot, it’s advantageous for you to stay out of the sun as much as possible.
FastPass can help you beat the crowds and avoid waiting in lines for a long period of time. Essentially, the FastPass is a slip that gives you a one-hour window to come back and get to the front of the line. When you get a FastPass for a ride, there is a certain period of time where you are put on a moratorium until you can get another one; this time is usually marked at the bottom of the ticket in small print.
It’s a good idea to send a member of your party out to collect FastPasses wherever they are available. This is a great way to make the most out of your time at Disney when the weather is hot and the lines are long – and the less time you spend waiting in lines while you’re at Walt Disney World, no doubt the happier that you will be at the end of the day! Remember to also stay hydrated and eat healthily while you’re out, particularly if you are unused to central Floridian heat!
