There are many different ways that you can organize your Disney vacation. It is, however, generally recommended that you spend at least seven months getting ready for your stay at Disney World, particularly if you are planning to visit during one of the busier times of the year. Believe it or not, even though there are a plethora of Disney resorts that you can stay at while at the parks, many of the more popular resorts sell out during the busy times of the year. If you happen to be in the process of booking your vacation and you realize that there is no hotel that will accommodate you and your family for the entirety of your stay, you might have to organize a split.
A split is what occurs when you stay at two or more resorts during your stay at Walt Disney World. This is more common than you might believe—mostly because there are a limited number of rooms and a lot of guests! If you have to split stay, there are a couple of tips to help you make the most of your vacation.
First, be sure that you order your resorts from least luxurious to most luxurious if there is a difference in caliber of the resorts that you are staying at. Imagine how nice it would be to get a room upgrade during the middle of your stay, and imagine how disheartening it could be if it turns out that you have to go to a less luxurious resort halfway through. It’s all about the organization when it comes to mastering the split stay.
