Disney has two water parks located at Walt Disney World Resort: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Typhoon Lagoon celebrates the sun and warm weather by providing fun and exciting water rides with a tropical theme. There are a variety of attractions so no matter how old you or members of your family are there will be something for all of you to enjoy.
Your entire family will love the scenery and rides. There are thrill rides for older children and adults such as Humunga Kowabunga an enclosed water slide 5 stories high. There are rides for the whole family to enjoy such as Castaway Creek. And areas for little ones who are too small to yet enjoy the fast rides such as Ketchakiddee Creek; a watery play area with fountains, waterfalls, and mini slides to enjoy.
Along with water slides and calm creeks for adults and older kids to enjoy you can also take surf lessons. Surf lessons are an additional cost but are available to children as young as 8. Lessons allow for safe learning and done before the park opens. Lessons are taught specific days with a maximum of 12 students with 2 professional instructors.
Typhoon Lagoon offers families another fun way to spend their Disney vacation by snorkeling with sharks as Shark Reef. For big kids to adults it’s a perfect way to end or begin your fun and exciting water park vacation. With two water parks to choose from guests can pick the Disney water park atmosphere they prefer most.
