Disney likes to cater to all ages. After all, it is no fun to be a kid and go on a vacation only to not be able to enjoy any of the rides or attractions. So if you have young children and are looking for some fun attractions the whole family can enjoy no matter their height, then Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is a must-do.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is located in Disney’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park in Tomorrowland. Fortunately, there is no height restriction. And the attraction is classified as “Fun for Everyone” and “Fun for Little Ones.” The attraction is also wheelchair accessible and allows for use of Disney’s FASTPASS service.
So what is the appeal of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin? Well, it is a video-game inspired ride. The ride is based upon the story of Buzz Lightyear and his fight with the Evil Emperor Zurg. Although you get hints of the Buzz Lightyear story told through Disney and Pixar’s Toystory, the ride takes place with the rider acting the part of a Junior Space Ranger in their own fight against Zurg minions.
As a Junior Space Ranger, it is your job to help Buzz Lightyear defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg and the space cruiser can be turned in any direction. Players can compete with other players or just try to get the highest score they possibly can. Children will be thrilled to even earn their own rank within Star Command.
While the ride is designed to accommodate guests of all ages, children do need to be accompanied. And there are hearing devices available for anyone with a hearing disability. So if you have a younger child who loves Buzz Lightyear or Toystory than Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is a great ride to add to your Disney vacation must-do list.
