This is likely one of the more iconic attractions at Walt Disney World. Kids and adults alike can crawl through this attraction and get a feel for what it would have been like to be shrunk by the Electromagic Shrink ray, created by Professor Wayne Szalinski. It features blades of grass over four feet tall and other monumental movie props.
This attraction is one that’s enjoyable for adults and kids alike. Even for the younger set who may not have yet seen this film are sure to enjoy being “tiny,” if even for a little bit! The great part about this attraction, also, is that there are no lines for it, being that it’s a playground and not a ride or an animation. Lots of parents come here to give their children to run around for a little bit while taking a load off – which is a very popular pastime, indeed!
In addition to the tall blades of grass, the ride includes these other attractions:
– Large ants that can be ridden
– Anthills that can be explored
– A spider web/maze with climbing ropes
– A slide made to look like a canister of Kodak film
– A giant dog, modeled after Quark, that sprays mist
– 52-foot-long (16 m) leaking water hose that sprays
– 40-foot-tall (12 m) bumblebees
– Jumbo plant-root mazes
With all of this to climb on and explore, it’s no secret why this is one of the more popular areas of Walt Disney World for families to play (and rest) in. Be sure to make it a part of your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You won’t regret it.
