The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster can be found in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, though the full name of the ride is the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Like many of the rides at Walt Disney World, it’s a roller coaster with a story behind it, this one featuring Aerosmith giving guests a backstage pass and a “limo ride” that comes with some serious speed.
Though Walt Disney World is not generally known for its extreme roller coasters, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is definitely a force to be reckoned with. It’s the second- fastest attraction at Walt Disney World, only behind Test Track. Riders will experience nearly 4.5Gs of force as they enter the first inversion of the ride, which is more than what astronauts encounter on a space shuttle launch. For this reason, this ride is definitely not recommended for those who have children that are too young, or who simply don’t like the idea of being on a roller coaster!
Even though the roller coaster itself might be considered an extreme ride, most people who are roller coaster enthusiasts say that the way it’s engineered makes the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster a much smoother ride and far less jerky than roller coasters of a similar ilk.
It just goes to show that you can get adrenaline-rush thrills at Walt Disney World if you know where to look. Most of the rides that Walt Disney World are designed to be as family friendly as possible, but if you really want that rush, Walt Disney World can provide with ease – and with a side of music, as well!
